Finance Officer
For over a decade, Dr. Surender has built an extensive career within the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), starting as an Accounts Officer and progressively rising to the position of Deputy Chief Accounts Officer (SP&A, CE). In this role, he played a key part in shaping and implementing purchase committee policies essential for the corporation's procurement, including items ranging from chassis to rubber spares. His financial oversight also encompassed managing payroll, allowances, and resolving complex tax issues related to Income Tax and GST. Expanding his expertise, Dr. Surender took over the responsibility of Test (Internal) Audits and Inspections across TSRTC, ensuring financial integrity and compliance throughout the organization. Furthering his leadership experience, he served as General Manager Finance in the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation. During this tenure, he was also entrusted with additional duties of General Manager Administration and General Manager Legal. Dr. Surender, retired on 28.02.2022 in TSRTC. Recognizing his expertise and dedication, the Government of Telangana recommended Dr. Surender for the position of Finance Officer at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) since October 2022. He has been serving in this capacity, contributing his vast knowledge and skills to the financial management of the university.
