B.N. Bhandari, did his B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad and M.Tech in Microwave and Radar Engineering from University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

He joined the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, JNTUH College of Engineering, Hyderabad, as an Assistant Professor in 1989 and presently he is Professor of ECE and Director, Academic and Planning, JNTUH, Hyderabad. His primary contribution is towards academics, administration and execution of projects sponsored by AICTE and DST.

His publications have received more than 90 citations including Ph.D. thesis. He is a reviewer for reputed Journals and conferences, and edited one book. He guides B.Tech and M. Tech students in their academic dissertation work.  He is supervising eight Research Scholars for their Ph.D. degree and two scholars have already completed their Ph.D. He conducted workshops, and National and International Conferences. He was the Organizing Chair of Global Wireless Summit 2015.  His areas of interest include Wireless Communications and Networking, Digital Communications, Stochastic models, Computer Networks, Ad-hoc and Wireless Sensor Networks, Digital Signal Processing and VLSI Signal Processing.

B.N. Bhandari is a member of the Institution of Electronics, Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, (IEEE) USA, and member of ISTE.
