Dr. A. Chennakesava Reddy has obtained B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1990; M.E (Mechanical Engineering) in the year 1993 from Bangalore University and Ph.D on investment casting process from flyash from Osmania University in the year 2000. He also did a second post graduate M.Tech (CAD/CAM) from JNTU in the year 2002 and he has acquired a second Ph.D in the field of CAD/CAM in the year 2006. He is also proficient in the use of Engineering Software (CAD, FEA, CFD, and CAM).

Dr. A. Chennakesava Reddy began his career as Assistant Professor in Arunai Engineering College – Thiruvannamalai as Lecturer in the year 1994. He joined in M.J.C.E.T-Hyderabad as Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering in the same year 1994 and became Associate professor in 2000. In 2001, he moved to Vasavi College of Engineering-Hyderabad. He was selected as Associate Professor at J.N.T.U-Hyderabad in 2003 and he became professor of Mechanical Engineering in 2006.

He has completed several R& D and Consultancy proje cts sponsored by AICTE, UGC, DRDO and State Government worth 300 Lakhs. He has guided 40 M.Tech projects successfully and guided 18 research scholars for their Ph.D. He is member of Professional Societies; viz., Indian Institute of Technical Education, Institution of Engineers (India), Institute of IndianFoundrymen,Indian Institute of Welding, Indian Institution of Production Engineers, and Indian Soc iety for Manufacturing Engineers.

He has published 495 technical papers in various journals and conferences at National and International level. He is the receiver of best paper awards for nine times. He is also the recipient of "Best Teacher" award by the Government of Telangana State, India in the year 2014. He is in the "Top 5 Scholars" in the research areas of FEA, CAD/CAM, Manufacturing Technology, Metal Matrix Composites and Characterization of Materials across the world as per Google Scholar Citations.

He has organized number of workshops, seminars, conferences and short term training programs for the benefit of the fellow teachers and the engineering professional and unemployed rural youth. He is the resource person for number of seminars and short term training programs organized by various Institutes.

He is the author of textbooks on Finite Element Methods, CAD/CAM and Computer Graphics published by PHI; Fuzzy Logic & Neural Networks published by New Age International; Instrumentation and Controls published by Cengage Learning.

He is the member of Governing Body Member for several affiliated Engineering Colleges in Telngana State. He is the Editorial Member for Journal of Manufacturing Engineering. He is the Member for AICTE, NBA, NAAC.

He has served in administration in the capacities of Nodal Officer for one term, HOD for two terms and Vice-Principal for one term. Now, He is the Chairman for Board of Studies in Manufacturing Engineering, JNT University Hyderabad.
