Dr. S. Tara Kalyani received B.E. in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, in 1995. She acquired her M.E in Industrial Drives and Control from the same university in 1998. She completed her Ph.D. in electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad in 2008. She is the topper and gold medallist of MBA, from School Management Studies, JNTUH in 2016. Dr. S. Tara Kalyani, joined teaching profession in 1996 as Associate Lecturer and currently serving JNTUH as Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. She served the university in various administrative positions: Associate Director, UGC – Academic Staff College, JNTUH, Deputy Director - UGC – Academic Staff College, JNTUH, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, JNTUHCEH. She was Chairperson of Board of Studies of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, JNTUHCEH. She has 58 research publications in National/International Journals/Conferences in areas of Power Electronics, Flexible AC Transmission Systems and Drives. She is the member of IEEE & WIE and life member of ISTE.
